I usually don’t write reviews but it’s HMI. I’ve been going to them for almost 15 years and that should be a testament in itself. The HMI team bends over backwards to take care of you. I definitely recommend giving them a try.

What can I say? Since buying my car, I had to go to somebody that my warranty required. When warning lights go on, I have to have them checked out. I would rather deal with them than with police during a pullover.

Though my repairs were expensive, I cannot fault HMI on their thoroughness. And unlike some shops, Barron and the people working on my car kept me informed every step of the way: what was needed, how much it would cost, how long it would take, etc.

Had 4 new tires mounted on my car. I was impressed that HMI could have charged me for a wheel alignment but the car was inspec after tires were mounted. And HMI told me they didn't need to do the alignment. That was very honest of them. Also like that they did mulipoint inspection of car. And tested battery free of charge

All i can say is 🤩😍🤩🤪!!!!! I came with my cuz to get her car fixed and let’s just say I’ll be coming back here more often… ima buy a hooptie just so i can see these guys more often! Shawn is superrrr cute and he wears these little tight jeans that hi lites his package and he’s packing!!!!! There’s some lady working in the office and she’s good looking too!! (I don’t roll that way but if I did it would be over) I seen 2 of the mechanics and one had this slicked back hair looking all fine like he’s in the godfather ready to call a hit on some dealers that are in his turf and the other one is this handsome old man! Super handsome! Super fit!!! Ladies if your looking for a honest shop to fix your car and some cuties to look at and think about when your in bed with y’all dusty husbands come here. They don’t disappoint!!!!

I caught them lying to me multiple times. They told me my breaks were good. They weren't, and now my rotors are warped. I had to bring it back to replace my rear calipers. They told me the suspension needed over $1,300 worth of repairs. It doesn't. Another shop showed me the suspension isn't loose and doesn't need repairs. They told me the extra $300 they added to my quote was because of inflation. Inflation has been going down for months. And they just raised their hourly rates too. To be fair, they did do a decent job welding my exhaust. However, I've been very disappointed with the quality of the other work, and the dishonesty.

These guys are the real deal. Been to many other shops and just got the runaround. They took care of my wife very fairly without bending her over a barrel and showing her the 50 states. It’s nice to see a shop not take advantage of women. So many do but not Sean and his team! Thanks guys!!!!

O stars if i could!! Who has a pick up time for a week vehicle rental for noon and they close at noon? Had this car reserved for a trip with my boys for 3 weeks. Tried saying merchant services shuts down exactly at noon. Merchant services never shuts down. Why wouldn't your last pick up be at 11:45 if you close at noon? They should be ashamed. Budget rent a car says they cant make the people at the location stay past closing. I was literally on my way to the location to be there at 12:05 when HMI called to say 12:01 is too late. Would've been nice to know as I was sitting around all morning waiting to go pick it up thinking car won't be ready until noon.... my scheduled pick up time. I was literally speechless.... at least Budget made good and waived my cancellation fee. HMI Auto 👎👎👎

James at the Hackettstown Avis location was absolutely amazing! When we found out we couldn’t fly because we didn’t have our REAL IDs, we had to pivot quickly and take a road trip instead. We needed a van last minute, and James went above and beyond to help us out. His professionalism, kindness, and calm demeanor made a stressful situation so much easier. We even forgot my son's phone in the van, and thanks to James’s honesty and attentiveness, we were able to pick it up the next day without any hassle. It’s rare to find someone so genuinely helpful and dedicated to outstanding customer service. We’ll definitely be renting from Avis again—because of you, James!

HMI took care of my car and helped me diagnose the engine code I was getting. Only comment I have is it would be nice to receive a discount on the diagnostic fee since I got the work done there. Other than that they are going to take care of you and your car.

There's a reason HMI has good reviews.. they earn them! Amazing customer service and communication. I had my truck in for brakes and a Trans service. They called not once but twice to discuss the transmisson service and then the status of my brakes. Super honest and quality workmanship. Very fair pricing. In 2010 I was a broke 18 year old freshman at Centenary and working full time at Sears in Rockaway Mall in the evenings (making $7 an hour). My first car was a lemon and I remember taking it to this repair shop at least one or twice a month before it finally died. I would ask them to just diagnose the issue but not repair it because I didn’t have the money to have it fixed. Just about every time they would repair my car for me free of charge. One time it needed serious work and they only charged me $100 (I’m sure the labor was worth much more than that). 13 years later and I still remember your kindness and generosity. These were the most caring and HONEST mechanics I’ve ever come across in my life! I’ve since moved to Europe but I’m glad to see you’re still in business and doing well. May God continue to bless you!

I took a BMW X5 to Hmi and they totally took advantage of me. When the battery goes low on a BMW the 4 x 4 light comes on. All you have to do is turn the wheel to the left enter the right and it will go off. Hmi told me that they replace the 4 x 4 and 1 million other things on the car when they only repaired a few things. I only took the car there for them to look it over and I left there with a $5000 bill over $5000. Don’t trust the baron or their shop. I really hope that they do not do this to all of their customers. Find a different mechanic

I brought an exhaust pipe to get a new flange welded in place. I showed up on a Friday morning and even though they were busy, they made sure to help me out and got the work done in record time and at a great price. This is the only shop around that will do exhaust repair work the proper way. Most shops would just have me pay a lot more money and replace the whole part when just the flange is bad. So very pleased with this experience and I will very much use them again!
